post weigh in...
OK so at this last weigh in I lost a whopping 1.8 lbs. I know..I know... you are saying "well it is better than gaining now isn't in.." Well this is when I come in and say "yeah you're right" Well this is it! I was talking to some of my fellow contestants and I need to track my calories better. If I work out I need to be sure I am eating little more. So today I payed very close attention to what I ate and actually wrote it down. I haven't gone to the gym today, but instead I took my nephew outside and chased him around until I was about to pass out! It felt so good being able to get outside and run around!!! My daughter and I are going to have a Wii date tonight playing Just Dance. I am hoping by the next weigh in to be down 5 lbs. instead of saying something like 10 or 15 pounds....Hey maybe I will shock you all and pull a big number!! It is getting close to grilling season which is my absolute favorite way to cook!!! I love roasting corn and grilling fresh veggies along with chicken and steaks....I can just smell it now!!! Ok well off I go to get moving!!!

4/23/12
Woke up this morning, got Sofia ready for her day, packed up my gym bag, dropped Sofia off to school, and then headed to the gym! Gosh it felt so good! I peddled hard for about 45 minutes then moved on to the only open piece of equipment...the treadmill..... We have a love hate relationship....I hate the treadmill and it loves kicking my butt. But I rocked it for 15 minutes. We have our way in this upcoming weekend and I don't see this being a good one for me....but then again so far I haven't had the greatest weigh ins....All I can do is keep trying and not give up! I filled my fridge full of yummo veggies and some fruit, and also got some lean meats. This week I am going to try and start avoiding the nasty starches and whatever.... I did however have some cake this weekend for my Niece's birthday (totally worth it!!!) Ok well I am out of here!! Until next time!

Small milestones
So this weekend I decided to do a little clothes shopping .... turns out I am down a pant size! When I was in the fitting room I wanted to do a laugh/cry/happy scream/freak out dance move if one existed!! I haven't been doing the best with working out but I have been eating very well. We only have like 12 days til the next weigh in so i really need to step it up! No more funny business! I went and worked out this morning and plan on doing some sort of physical activity with my daughter once she is out of school today. Tomorrow will be a work out dvd at home then an evening work out at the Y while my daughter is in her swim lesson, and also a night time Zumba class. Thursday and Friday will be a little bit of everything.
I know a lot of the other contestants have had some troubles with their weight loss this month so I know I am not the only one.... But I know if we all keep our heads up and our eyes on the prize we will all do well! We have a few more months left to give it our all!
I wanted to leave this little comment for you readers... it will leave you with a giggle! :Ellen Degeneres: You have to stay in shape. My grandmother, she started walking five miles a day when she was 60. She's 97 today and we don't know where the hell she is.

dreaming big..but not too big
Can I ask you an honest question? Am I the only one who in their dreams looks like a totally different person than what they really look like.....? Every time I dream while I am sleeping I look like a size 7..... I don't quite get it. Is it me just imagining this is what I want to look like or could it be that this is some sort of sign??? I mean don't get me wrong I am no super model in my dreams, I just appear thinner and healthier. I wish there was a way to save the image in my mind and transfer it to my computer so I could print it out.... You are probably reading this going "what is wrong with this girl????'' I just thought I would share this and see if anyone else out there dreams like this... So anyway on to my actual blogging about weight loss and my journey:
Starting today I am going to be paying close attention to my caloric intake. I'm kinda thinking this may help me lose more weight effectively. My daughter is back to school from her spring break so now I am forced to get out of bed and get back on her schedule, which is really the best way to motivate me. Yesterday while I was locked out of my house for a little over an hour I decided to clean up my back yard....but I put a little twist in to doing it... I turned it into a game for Sofia and I. Each time we came to a part of the yard that had something that was damaged or just needed to be tossed we did 1 minute of jogging back and forth between the garbage can and our spot we were working at and then I added some side lunges for me.... Then after we picked up the yard we decided to do laps around our back yard... one lap we would gallop, the next we would skip... and it went on until my husband came home. The hour flew and it was a nice change just burning calories and having fun!
So for dinner last night I made pizza using 2 "Flat Out" bread tortilla things for the crust. They are only 90 calories for the whole wrap! My daughter actually ate what I gave her which was a huge surprise for me because this child refuses to eat anything you give her.....

Spring Break
My daughter has been on her school's spring break since Monday..... The weather hasn't been the greatest, but having her home she has been my little coach. Every morning she has asked me what kind of healthy breakfast I am going to eat, and I have to show her what I make. We have been playing and having such a great time together! We went to my parents house for a 2 night sleep over and enjoyed many play sword fights with my mom, dad, and one of my 3 sisters! You would be shocked at how much it makes the back of your arms burn!! I had some really good bean salsa my dad had made....it had some black beans, hot sauce, red onion, tomatoes with chilies, and some adobo....Sooooo good!!!!
I really haven't been to the gym this week but next week I fully plan on going back to my schedule and working my booty off!!

2nd weigh in
Well I stepped on that scale Saturday morning and was down 4.4lbs. Not bad but I feel like I could have lost more.... I may not be eating enough so this week I am going to concentrate on my calorie intake to be sure. I am also going to be sure I eat all my veggies! I think I may have slacked on that a bit. I feel good though :) I do have way more energy, self confidence, and an overall better look at life. I tell that my pants are not tight anymore too. I was able to put a few shirts on that I haven't been able to wear in about 3 or 4 years!!!
So I am going to continue to push myself! My next weigh in goal is going to be 6 pounds. I think with my working hard and eating right I really believe I can do this!
